In this post kids will know how to make a pancake with a bit of help from a adult. Here are the things to make this scrumptious yummy pancake.

Ingredients: Makes 6

  • 60g (1 small mug) self-raising flour

  • 100ml (1 small mug) semi-skimmed milk

  • 1 medium free-range egg

  • 1 of your favourite apples

  • 1 medium banana

  • Knob of butter

Now the instructions:

  1. Of course first you wash your hands.

  2. Put the flour and milk into a bowl.

  3. Crack the egg into the bowl and whisk the egg.

  4. Add the egg to the flour and milk and whisk together well.

    5. Wash the apple and ask an adult to grate the apple (no need to peel it) before mixing it into the batter.

    6. Peel the banana and ask a adult to slice it thinly, then mix it into the batter.

   7. Ask an adult to add the knob of butter to a small frying pan and turn the hob onto a low heat,Once melted, spoon in about a tablespoon of mixture. When the pancake’s browned underneath, ask an adult to carefully flip it over and cook the other side. Each pancake should take about a minute.

If you don’t have scales to hand. Simply use a small mug or cup to weigh out the flour and milk (1 cupful of each). Then add the rest of the ingredients!
